About
Over 12 years the International CAA Conference at Loughborough University (UK) was one of the main international conferences on CAA in Higher Education.
The last conference in 2008 was the twelfth and attracted almost 150 delegates and presenters. Since its inception we have hosted participants from countries including America, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Greece, Holland, Italy, Malaysia, New Zealand, Poland, Republic of Macedonia, Spain and the UK. Sectors represented include Universities, Post 16 Education, Schools, Examination and Qualification Bodies, Government and the Training Sector. Topics covered included accessibility, case studies, evaluation, free text and speech, item banking, national and international initiatives, novel question and assessment design, peer and group work, pedagogy, policies and procedures, services, standards, student experiences, training and support as well as tools and services.
For 2009 we are running the event with a new name and a new format - E-Assessment Live 2009, to be held again at Loughborough but over a single day (July 8th) rather than as a 2-day residential event. The focus will be on workshops and live demonstrations, so that delegates get the opportunity to try out the latest applications and approaches. We welcome presenters, delegates and exhibitors from outside the HE sector as well as within since there is much to be gained from a cross-sector exchange of ideas.
